In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, diced onion, and all seasonings including Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until combined.
Shape into 4 oval patties.
Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown patties for about 4 minutes each side. remove to a plate.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the sliced onions and cook for 8-10 minutes until softened and slightly golden.
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth.
Stir in half-and-half , Worcestershire sauce, Better than bouillon, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper.
Return the patties to the skillet
Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the patties are fully cooked and the gravy has thickened.
Serve hot over mashed potatoes with your favorite vegetable.
